You have heard it said: Phl 4:13 KJV - [13] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

But does it mean "ALL THINGS" ??

The answer is no, you can't do anything apart from Yeshua's will by or with HIS Strength. Paul's exhortation is one that is embodied in Torah, and specifically I believe it is the lesson of Yosef in Mitzraim.

In the passage, Paul is remembering both the affliction and the abundance that comes with the path we walk. Indeed, that is one of the hallmarks of a mature follower of Yeshua, that they do not forget where they came from nor the path they have walked to get where they are.

Here is part of the preface to the verse above.

Phl 4:8-9, 13 KJV - [8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
